about

Scheerling (Bert van Beek) and Nÿland (Trepaneringsritualen, Distel, Norn) have been collaborating since the early 2000s under several guises. This year's 'Tweiduster', is a split release that features a collection of previously unreleased solo pieces by both gentlemen, some recorded as early as 2003.
Much of Scheerling' oeuvre shows a minimalist counterpoint approach, often influenced by nature and folk music, which is subsequently combined with his distinctive form of Low Saxon storytelling.
Nÿland's early work is marked by the use of vintage (often broken) electronic equipment as sound sources and the exclusive employment of FastTracker 2 as a compositional tool.
Despite these different approaches, there is an obvious kinship between the two artists, which is where a shared fondness for minimal ambient and experimental electronics glues this anthology together.

Originally released as a DAT only cassette. Now sold out. more information here: kormplastics.nl/NDWICM.html
